Community Service

Working with our community

We assist schools, educators and their community based partners to connect and improve relationships with students and their families.  We also become the bridge connecting them to resources, people and other organizations that can be a benefit to them and the communities they serve

Community Service

A year round program that invites young people to answer the question “Am I my Brother’s Keeper? “  They are assigned to the role of Community Servant. They will participate in various community events as well as work with schools and other NFP Organizations that provide assistance to their communities. This will give them one on one experience with the people, in the communities as they observe and learn to identify their basic needs.

Vocational Training

The Bronx is filled with some of the hardest working people in the world. Many are working multiple jobs to provide for their homes and give their children the opportunity to have a better life than they did. Sadly, many are a paycheck away from homelessness.

MBK has partnered with vocational training programs, private funders and other organizations that share the same vision of empowering families to experience financial stability.  We believe through education, training and better employment opportunities the cycle of poverty can be broken.
